The directions are easy to follow. they have a color picture of each piece and step by step directions on different levels of designs (you can set it up your own way, too). The pieces go together easily and it stays together pretty well. The kids and I had fun putting it together and starting to play with it. But, unfortunately it didn&rsquo;t last long. Once the ball gets to the dumping action the ball stops. It&rsquo;s as if the ball is not heavy enough, because it will dump with 3 balls, not 1 or 2 balls. We tried it multiple times. So because of this I am giving it a 3 out of 5, because the dumping action does not work with 1 ball. If it worked with 1 ball, I would definitely have given it a 5 star. I am a pediatric speech therapist, and am always on the look for new games, toys or activities, especially ones that have moving parts. When I saw this, I knew it would be perfect. During our sessions, we can build the track and watch the marble GO! The chidlren find so much excitement in watching the marble rush to the bottom, while we work on our speech sounds. This is a great tool for younger kids to help elicit new, developmental vocabulary and vocalizations. Plus, it is just a fun reward. It is easy to put together and easy to use, so it is always a great toy to keep around. I think this is a great toy to have around for any kid, and the marbles aren't too small, so I don't feel like they are an extreme choking hazard. Even my older kids love creating their own tracks. So many possibilities. And I love the fact that it is actually teaching them to be more creative and using their imagination. They both share this toy without hearing them fight or cry. Ones loves the building while the other loves the rolls. I especially like the part where the family participates together and we make it a game of colores and numbers. VTech creates a great learning experience. The Vtech-VTech Marble Rush Tip &amp; Swirl Set provides hours of educational fun. Love that the parts are not sharp or are made with tiny pieces that can create injury.
