So she was very excited when she got this Bumblebee officer, especially with the voice commander function. She played with it right away but soon I had to jump in to help her out. The transformation is very cool but it's not easy to do, as well as the voice commander. I tried to follow the instruction but it didn't work out much. It probably took almost half an hour. It was faster when I did backwards. He is a huge Bumblebee fan. He loves that it goes into battle mode and changes. Caught him talking to it a few times with Bumblee talking back. He enjoys the voice response and the lights that come on. He loves the little battle swords that came with it and has even played with those separate from Bumblebee. I do recommend this toy is best for kids that are careful with their toys as I had a little trouble transforming it and accidentally popped a leg off but was able to easily pop it back on. Out of the box, I was impressed with its size (10&quot;) and quality feel. Your voice can make the armor flip out from his back and makes sound effects and lights up, which is very impressive for kids. It is a little difficult to transform from robot to car and back which is the reason for my 4 stars, but once shown a few times, my son was able to do it himself. I would say it may be too difficult for younger children to transform on their own. My 8 year old grandson liked it, but he said it got annoying after a while (20 minutes!). From an adult's perspective, the main negative issue is the overuse of foreign languages on the box AND in the VERY hard-to-locate instruction booklet! The box is well designed and informative, but the description of specific features in at least 5 languages on all 4 sides is distracting and makes the surface too cluttered. The instruction booklet is even worse. The illustrations are adequate without needed explanation, but the contrasting color choices are too dark and the size of the print is simply too small to be helpful. The most frustrating aspect of the booklet is the fact that the general instructions are listed in over 20 foreign languages, which takes up a lot of space in a very small area, making any instructions in ANY language impossible to read! He was nothing but thrilled when this toy arrived. I did have to help him at transform it into the car form at first but he has since gotten the hang of it and can play with it independently.
