As soon as he saw Henry in the package I thought he was going to burst with excitement. The No. 3 Henry green engine is a lightweight train, yet well-constructed and durable. It does require (2) AAA batteries, which are not included. The battery compartment does require a screwdriver to remove/install, but I didn't have any problems installing the batteries. After the batteries are installed, Henry starts moving with the flip of a switch on top. It is easy for my son to operate and he laughs with excitement as Henry chugs along the floor. We don't have the track that this engine is compatible with, but it's still fun to play with and goes across any hard surface. He loves that Henry goes on his own and loves to aim him at the cat and watch the cat run too! He's lighter in weight then I thought he'd be, which is great for little ones to play and seems sturdy enough. The only downside, he's bigger than our other trains and so doesn't run on our existing tracks/bridges. My son really enjoys the motorized train. He likes to watch the train go around the tracks on it's own instead of pushing it. The train runs pretty fast on a fresh pair of batteries.
