It doesn&rsquo;t have real buttons and doesn&rsquo;t light up so older kids may be disappointed by that. My 3 year old daughter loves it. I let her play with it outside so she doesn&rsquo;t knock everything off the shelves inside. Does not light up (or make noise), which might be obvious because of the price, but I have purchased similar lightsabers before that lit up like a flash light (this one does not do that). The bottom section of the saber blade does not &ldquo;collapse&rdquo; into the hilt; my son didn&rsquo;t realize this at first, and gave it a persistent shove back into the hilt, and now it occasionally slips back into the hilt when he&rsquo;s playing with it.
