My kid spent a couple minutes trying to light it up, until he realized it doesn't actually light up at all. He was not happy with the toy. I gave it 3 stars because the design is pretty cool, and the kids can still hit each other with it, which they do enjoy.</span>

I was really excited for this (as was my daughter) because we love star wars! The toy itself is cute. The quality is not the best (the plastic is not sturdy it’s cheap feeling) the saber part gets stuck when you “jolt it” to make it come out and then it gets stuck when you try to get it back in. Its fun, but I wouldn’t per-say “go out and buy it myself” but for a kids gift its okay.</span>

And it is a cute toy. Simple to use and play with. There’s no batteries to drain and have to replace. In the closed position, it’s a cute little friend. Nice and compact and easy to travel with. And then with the flick of the wrist, the lightsaber unfolds out and you’re ready for action. And it stays popped out and unfolded until you’re ready to manually push it back in and stays compact. It’s good quality and fun to hold and play with.</span>

This toy can be extended to a full-length lightsaber with just a flick of the wrist. While I was a bit disappointed to see that it didn't light up, the kids didn't seem to care at all and played with it for hours. Having a toy that resembles a prop from the movie really brings children's imaginations to life. It would also be a great addition to anyone's Darth Vader costume for Halloween. I like that it's made by Hasbro, as I have been buying their toys for years and even played with them myself as a kid. I'm certain that my kids will enjoy this toy for years to come.</span>
