All my kids had a blast driving it all over, and it was very fast and powerful going over all areas of my house. Unfortunately after the first day, it started to only turn sideways, then it completely quit trying to drive at all. This one is fine. It looks a little clunky, almost oversized, like it's maybe geared for younger kids, which tracks with the limitations that the controller has - it really only goes two directions easily, and while the sidespin maneuver the wheels do sounds cool, using it for more complicated tricks isn't intuitive. I will say that it is DURABLE, though. Like, Nokia flip phone circa 2002 durable. This red racer is quite special - it's slick and rather quick. But here's the neatest part: it goes not just forward, but also sideways and even it hovers! Oh boy, does my kiddo (boy aged 6) love this toy racer! It is incredibly simple to set up (literally just put batteries in the remote and the racer) and, perhaps most importantly, it is VERY very simple to use - my kiddo had zero trouble figuring it out and using it right out of the box, even without instruction. He especially loves to make it go sideways and hover. He thinks this is the coolest thing!! It's definitely fun and fast. Much faster than I expected it to be. The drifting makes it very fun to speed it around sharp corners. The wheels turning all the different ways is unlike any other RC car I've ever experienced having. It has easy to read instructions.
