However, there are added features! These add to the fun. The stability is still great. The creative aspects are even better! What an adorable way to celebrate a milestone in the life of a beloved childhood toy. Yamma and Yampa are everything I loved about Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head in my youth and then some. I love that the set includes the pair. Twenty four pieces and two figurines is enough to occupy both of my children with minimal intervention. With that many components, I'm grateful that they still have interior storage space. My favorite update is the detail of belted pants or pearls attached to the shoes rather than the body nestled directly on top of footwear. I've enjoyed sharing this classic with my kids both for developing language and teaching body parts. It's also great for lighthearted fun. We love to compete to see who can create the most outlandish potato; an activity that is suitable for all ages. My daughter adores her grandparents, so she was excited to get these dolls. She always plays with them and is always talking to them like they are her real grandparents. She tells them everything that is going on in her life and thanks them for some of her favorite toys given to her by her grandparents. She is also constantly telling them about the next time they will see each other and the adventures they will do together. She proudly displays them on her favorite shelf in her bedroom when she is not playing with them. The pieces still snap in the same way. The back of the potatos come off so you can store the pieces inside. None of the pieces are small enough that I worry that they would be a choking hazard for my 13 month old.
