The set has 1 doll and 2 pony figures, which the doll can actually ride! There are several scenes in which to play, including a barn, a ride, and grassy area for the horses to run. The set also comes as a horse compact, which is customizable. She loves horses and dolls so this was a great find. It comes with two horses, a doll, some flowers, carrots, a trophy, a ribbon and a balloon. This toy was designed to be fun and functional, even though the pieces are small, there are holes on the bottom of the pieces that easily mount onto corresponding pegs in various places inside the compact. The little skirt on the outside of the horse compact holds it closed so you don't lose the little pieces. It also comes with a hat and an apple that fit into various spots on the outside of the compact and gives my daughter something to play with even with the compact is closed. We have taken this Polly Pocket to restaurants, her grandmother's house and she has played with it in the car and at home. My four year old daughter has been playing with this toy for weeks and miraculously hasn't lost a single piece! The Polly pocket contains a large number of small pieces, which I think didn&rsquo;t inspire true creative play. Decorating the outside of the Polly pocket was also not an exciting prospect for my kiddos.
