The ink did stain a little bit so be wary. It is just like the one that I had in the 90&rsquo;s with the plastic girl! No more gummy like feature. My daughter sure loved that. I love how you can be as creative as you want. My daughter had so much fun playing. First she went right ahead exploring the stamps and different little areas in the toy set. It still has the same appeal with its tiny features, adorable friends, and sweet surprises! This set comes with three stamps and a JUICY ink pad. The only downside is how much ink there is and how easy it is to get everywhere. I ran the stamps under water when we finished and most of the ink came out. It also included several thick paper squares to stamp on. These didn&rsquo;t las long because my daughter loves all things art. We played with it for many hours and it was fun to share a part of my childhood with my child! I even shared pictures of it with other adults who loved Polly back in the day. My daughter has a few other sets and this one immediately drew her into the little world of Polly Pocket. She loves a birthday theme for any toy. The small cards provided for the stamps were designated as birthday party invitations, which she carefully designed for Polly's party. The stamp pad is VERY juicy so I recommend letting your kids know to use a very light hand - the more ink on the stamp, the less clear the design after stamping. The purple cake piece is removable, which is great for extending play outside of the compact. The bow above the hinge turns, causing little surprises to pop up in the house.
