I don't consider just having a very minimum suction as working. It does not work as a vacuum. &quot;Easy to open dirt compartment&quot; I spend so long looking for the compartment. It is just part of the tube. It's the blue part before it gets to the red handle part. I don't count part of the tube a canister. I wish I could get my money back on this toy I was very disappointed. Get the Dyson or anything else if you want a working vacuum for your kid to use.
