The accessories are also larger than normal Barbie accessories so I feel a lot more comfortable with her playing with them with supervision of course. Her texture is also different than a standard Barbie doll. It&rsquo;s great as a first Barbie. I usually dont like screen printed on accessories but it's very fitting for the age demographic. The pets however remind me of stuffed animals and not pets. I thought I would be receiving a doll that was smaller in size but to my surprise, this doll was much larger than I expected! The 2023 My First Barbie doll is a whopping 13&quot; tall with a new soft touch body! The soft body is a smooth and flexible rubber which is a gentle material for a child's hands to hold. The body can be felt through the open window of the packaging, which is designed specifically for people to touch since there's no window on the box like most fashion dolls have on their boxes.This new type of Barbie packaging is all cardboard with a small makeshift handle on the top of the box to carry it with but the handles do not stay on the box after you open it unless you tape them in place. What I loved most about this box was how incredibly easy it was to remove the doll &amp; accessories from inside in under 5 minutes! She comes with one, one-layer fabric dress with only one strip of Velcro to close it in back; purple wedge booties, a pink sun visor, a small plush puppy with a ribbon loop to hang on Barbie's hand and a very large purple hair brush. All of the accessories are color coordinated with the outfit/dress she's wearing. The doll has a completely soft-touch rubber body and she &quot;wears&quot; a skin-toned shade of panties &amp; tube bra which are molded onto her soft body. The doll is not articulated, she has points for bending like most older Barbies in the knees and elbows that click when adjusted and stay in placed until readjusted. The arms, legs and head are adjustable to pose the doll and are made to hold their pose until adjusted again. Barbie is easy to accessorize as her shoes slide on with a little push, the &quot;pet&quot; puppy can hang off her wrist, the sun visor can be applied like a headband or a hat and her brush is a very large size for a child's hands'. The doll also has amazing saran doll hair that's very soft &amp; easy to brush My child was able to dress her First Barbie in her new outfit in under 10 minutes with a little bit of assistance from an adult. She enjoyed holding the doll and brushing her hair because she had never gotten a brush with her previous Barbie dolls! She was already using her imagination with her &quot;pet&quot; puppy and made friends with them both right from the box. I highly recommend this doll because she is made for children to have a sensory experience while interacting with her. From touching her soft body and hair to posing her then changing her clothes and shoes. She's quite possibly more fun than a regular sized Barbie.
