It is very good quality and will last a long time. My three boys love it. She really enjoyed waiting for the reveal. Ours took a minute or two, but the anticipation made it even more exciting! However it does actually add gameplay to the toy, a new element to opening it up, so I don't want to be negative about it! The toy inside is really attractive and sturdy, v impressed by this as toys these days are flimsy plastic.
