The Monopoly Knockout game is the family party game of sliding tokens and cash-grabbing fun! In this up-and-active version of the Monopoly game, compete against opponents in a token showdown! Players play in rounds, taking turns sliding their tokens down the long gameboard (over 3 feet!) and trying to land them on properties. At the end of each round, they'll collect - or pay - cash based on where their tokens ended up. So aim and slide carefully, landing tokens on the best properties and knocking other players' tokens into Jail or totally off the board. The player with the most cash at the end of the game wins! <span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box is a lot smaller than the monopoly we have all grown up with fighting over who is cheating. In our house, it's normally our daughter, but our tweenie had been picking up tips!! So for the older ones, changing the way you have always played has been difficult. So this new version works on the principle of basically literally knocking out the other tokens. These have ball bearings underneath, so you can just wizz these across the board and try to get them to land on properties you play in rounds. Trying to knock the other players into jail, that's fun. Or you can just get them off the board. The most hardest part of this version is your aim, something I've found I'm not good at!. You have to really read the instructions a lot to get it right. There are lots of ways to play and win or lose, and depending on who you are playing with, more competitive players make it very difficult.
What we love about this is that you laugh through winning or frustration. Our tweenie spat her dummy out one of the rounds as she couldn't get her tokens where she wanted them. It gives you hints and tricks to aid you. The difference with this version is that you literally don't know who will win until the end. The team with the MOST money 🏆 wins. There is a scan code that shows you a demo, which really helps. It's a lot funnier than the original as it's a lot down to aim. I've only given it 4 stars due to how much you have to alter the way that you have playing monopoly in your head. For the newbies it was a lot easier for them.
