The blocks fit together nicely and were quite snug. The directions were easy to follow, and the boys took turns building the set step by step. When asked if they would change anything about the set, they emphatically stated that they were great just the way they came. They definately needed an adult to guide them through the build. They all enjoyed working together. It a good thing the set come with multiple charcters. Dad thought it would be a good idea to take a break, halfway. The boys werent having it. They really enjoy using them as action figures. My little one can play with these independently and build her own designs but to build the intended characters, of course we had to build jointly. It took a little too long for her age&rsquo;s attention span but she took a break and came back to it just fine. I am not familiar with Pok&eacute;mon (I&rsquo;m an older parent) but these figurines are so brightly colored and cute that my daughter is now eager to know who these characters are and their backstories. So we will be looking for some Pok&eacute;mon content and reading about these characters. I really like that it was a set of three characters and not just a single item because this allowed my daughter to have them interact with one another and make up stories about their adventures. I also appreciate that they came with bases which stabilized them. We are really big into giving my preschooler puzzles and build sets like this because we believe these aid the development of her attention span. Any toy that she is excited about and will capture and hold her attention for a sustained period are wins in our book. And she was really excited about seeing the blocks turn into the characters on the box. The figures are fully posable with ball joints at the arms and legs. Very well designed with faces printed, no decals to mess with. They include a very cool water themed stand for display and it separates into three smaller platforms, so each can be displayed separately. My 10 year old loved building them and the instructions were easy to follow. My 6 year old loves them, as well and they are sturdy enough that they don't break easily when they are played with. They were really excited to open it, but it contained many many pieces and it wasn't something they were able to build on their own. We are having fun as a family putting it together. So far we have probably spent an hour and a half on it.. mostly because I am rubbish at putting things together. My husband is going to be joining us and I am sure he will make quick work of it. This one is very cute and fun to put together. The models are well detailed and great for a kids display. Play time is mostly excellent. The arms will contort, however they will come off if brought to far back. They snap back in, but it is the one flaw. This is most apparent on the larger pokemon. Looks wise they are perfect.
