It was quick and easy to understand the instructions. The identification of which lugs to connect what with color in the instructions makes it so much easier. My 6 year old had no problems putting this together all by himself. Built quality is very durable and the crossover with hotwheels makes it a lot of fun. My son loves to make it crash and then put it back together. My loves this toy. He enjoyed building it and he likes the fact that the wheels actually spin and move. He enjoys playing with it and the little person that goes inside. It&rsquo;s pretty sturdy after building so it stays together for the most part. The design of the car is cool, but we did occur some missing pieces and sadly had to make due with missing pieces but it was just the front bumper. He has some sensory processing issues and one of his calming tools has been to go by himself and build something. The other day when he was frustrated I gave him this monster truck building kit to put together as he calmed down. It was perfect. The instructions were easy to follow. There were only 69 pieces so it took him a total of about 30 minutes to put together. He came to me with his finished monster truck and was all smiles. My only complaint is that on the back of the box there are other hot wheels truck building sets listed so now I&rsquo;ve been requested to buy more. Upon opening the box, we found that all the pieces were well-packaged and accounted for. My 5 year old son completed the majority of the build with my supervison and very minimal assistance. The included direction pamphlet was clear and concise, very easy for my son to follow once we got a few steps in. He needed a little direction in regard to the exact orientation of a given piece but the directions did an excellent job at attempting to convey orientation with color-coding. While building the truck, my son needed a tiny bit of assistance at pushing the pieces together completely flush. During and after the build, I really took notice of the quality. The pieces went together so well and held tightly making this truck a solid toy. I've put together sets like this from another major retailer and let me tell you none of those items were anywhere near the quality of this one. The others come apart very easily and all the time but not this one! The figurine that comes with it can be sat in the truck but you have to remove the roof first. I didn't love that part but my son doesn't seem to mind at all.
