Super Cool Pokemon Build Toy With Motion!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pokemon Mega blocks set is super cool and easy to build. It comes packaged nicely with separate pieces in different pouches and easy to read instructions. It was a quick build for my 15 year old and his one and only complaint was some of the pieces were so small and notneasy to manipulate. I'd like to note that hes does like to keep his nails long, that could have been a reason why the smaller pieces weren't as easy for him. What makes this piece even better is the motion, and the view of the moving pieces in my opinion. The Pokemon characters bounce up and down with the press of a little block piece. Not only do they move, but there's clear panels underneath so you can see all the little pieces moving in action which my son and I both think are super cool! We definitely recommend this to any building fan and Pokemon fan of course.

Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mega mini motion Dugtrio Pokemon building set is a cute and challenging project.
My daughter, who is an autistic adult, but is mentally closer in age to someone between 12 and 15 years of age, was the first person to try putting this building set together. She enjoys megas and building sets, but up to this point she has only put together smaller sets, each of those without help. Being able to work on something by herself is very important to her. That is one of the many wonderful things about megas and other building sets; they not only encourage independent play or creating fun projects for families to work on together, but sets like these help a child learn to follow instructions, help develop fine motor skills, and instill a sense of accomplishment.
She wanted to try the same with this set, working on her own, but she ran into a couple of difficulties. The first issue was the lack of a device to pull the pieces apart once they were snapped together. If you make a mistake and put two wrong pieces together, it is nearly impossible to get the pieces apart afterwards. I tried pulling them apart too, which I did, but with difficulty.
Second, my daughter said she would have liked there to be more detailed, visible or illustrated directions. White the illustrations in the directions helped, she still found some steps to be confusing. Perhaps a link presented in the direction booklet to a video in which someone walks you through the building process, building the project together, would be of benefit to those putting together a mega set. She said it would have helped her to “see” the instructions because at one point she became confused about what part went where.
My daughter can read very simple directions, but she learns faster with visible instructions such as several detailed photos or maybe a link to a video that shows someone putting the toy together, explaining what they are doing as they go.
