Assembling the bottom pieces was extremely difficult because they weren&rsquo;t just &ldquo;popping&rdquo; into place and making it difficult to continue screwing everything in. Assembly is tricky because the snaps just don't work. Even if you can get them to snap they come apart. The base and the lid are 2 different shades of green. So... it just looks cheap. But It is holding together enough that it will hold some sand. My Grandboys will love it. I&rsquo;m so disappointed in this and I will be returning it. It is very difficult to snap together and then does not stay together. Sand pours out the bottom. This also will not hold water like the old one. We had a turtle sandbox for our children that was great. This one needs to be assembled, won&rsquo;t stay together to keep the sand in over time and is weakly constructed. I am very disappointed with the new style of sandbox and believe that anyone that likes this sandbox just doesn't know any better. I was so excited to get a new one for my younger children, but they are not getting the same experience. Upon arriving to the store, they said they only carry this 2.0 version that is $30 more. This &quot;improved&quot; version isn't a solid piece like the original and required a lot of time to put together. The bottom pieces do not &quot;snap&quot; together per the instructions booklet and the plastic is already showing some signs of stress.
