My 3 year old loves holding her little bird and petting her. I think she pets her so much to hear her chirp. The more she pets the more the bird whistles and chirps. My 1 year old loves the light up wings and is amazed when it whistles. We have all enjoyed how life like this bird is. I recorded the bird to say you are beautiful, I love you. My 3 year old tells the bird no your boo- ti- ful. Also this seems to be fairly durable and holds up. My 1 year old tries to tear the wings off.... This is such a cool little toy and my 5-year-old absolutely loves it The wings are really awesome on it and the overall aesthetic of the toy is super cool. The talk back from the bird is something she has a blast with, as well. She is constantly talking to it and having it say funny things back to her.
