It is exactly the same. The black paper templates and the pegs along with the lighted white box all in miniature version. This is perfect for travel and taking to grandmas house. Fits in the travel bag or backpack and doesn't take up much room and gives hours of entertainment. It's super cute and compact for travel. The only downside that I see with it is that there is nowhere to store the pegs in the unit. They either have to be in the holes or in a separate container or bag. Sadly she got bored with it quick. I think it is just to small for her to really put a lot of creativity in. The super small pieces get easily lost out from my little ones hands.
