They all enjoy this toy, but it is not recommended for younger children. The black car has little splatters on it, so less color changing. My kids prefer the car that has the most color changing. The only critique is that it is difficult for little hands to wipe around the front eyes, but it is good for fine motor skills. They really love color changing toys, and this one was a real hit, since they have a full size Cozy Coupe they&rsquo;ve been playing with since they were toddlers. It&rsquo;s good for all genders. This keeps the attention for a while! They are pretty small but look adorable. My husband threw away the packaging right away so I didn&rsquo;t get to read more on the color changing component. I was trying to figure out if there are any buttons to press batteries to install. Looked it up and based on people&rsquo;s reviews they have to be in pretty cold water? I don&rsquo;t usually let my son to play in cold water so that feature hasn&rsquo;t really been useful for us. She has been going crazy showing anyone that will watch when she wipes them and colors change. These cars perfect for little hands to hold and push around. The color change works well and probably encourages playing in the water but it's good for bath time or outside play during the summer. Or just so kids can watch it change. Kids love stuff like that or atleast mine do. An added bonus is is the fact it doesn't have noisy buttons to push and kids use their imaginations to play which is always better. I wasn't impressed. These cars are supposed to change color by using the included magic cloth. That magic cloth was a 2 inch square piece of stiff fabric. It did not absorbed water at all. We followed the directions and the color did not change at all. We placed both cars in the freezer, and they did change color, but they didn't change to the color advertised. When I worked with our 3 year old, the cars kept his attention for about 2 minutes. We filled a small bowl with ice and water, and then dunked the cars, the 3 year old wasn't impressed, but he enjoyed grabbing the ice cubes and eating them. Our 1 year old got a hold of these cars, (supervised) he enjoyed pushing the car and watching it roll. He also wanted to carry the cars around in his mouth via the headlight.
