He really enjoys mucus musical instruments and these were not different. We didn't find them very loud, there was a volume button, which was nice. It is simple and easy enough for a baby to enjoy while still letting them learn as they play. One Maraca is just like a rattle which does a great job of keeping her occupied. The other lights up and has different buttons to hear the sounds of different instruments. It has 3 different modes for the buttons. One teaches the instruments names, one is for colors and the other is for counting. She loves hearing the different music sounds. She gets very excited looking at the different light up colors. I really like that the maraca can be put to english or Spanish. They are not heavy she can easily pick and move them around. It is safe, colorful and has many features including lights, sound modes to keep your kid entertained for hours. I love the fact that this product comes with batteries and that they actually last for a long time. My kid is playing with it for a while now and no sign of low battery. This toy is also very good as a learning tool providing your child to learn new words developing vocabulary. The toy comes with two option for languages (English and Spanish). I am happy to finally have a toy that is fun and educative at the same time. I am very happy with this product and I truly recommend it.
