The colors are bright and vibrant, pink and purple, very girly. The scooter is weatheruzed to prevent rusting. The board has a coarse,sand paper-like coating which will prevent the child's feet from slipping off while riding. The height of the handlebars is adjustable and can slide up or down to give your child a perfect fit when ridung. The handlebars have soft, sturdy, foam grips for comfort on their hands. There is a &quot;brake pedal&quot; at the rear of the board which will stop motion when pressed with the heel of the child's foot. The Little Tikes LOL Surprise scooter would put a smile on any little girl's face and provide hoirs of enjoyment. Surprise scooter and both me and the kids love it. When I first got the package I thought that this was meant for an infant to use. Once I pulled it out of the box and saw all the adjustments to make it bigger, I really liked it. The 1st photo shows how compact it is for storage or travelling. The 2nd photo show the adjuster to loosen the bolt to raise the handle bars in place. The 3rd photo shows the handle bars in place. The 4th photo shows the holder where the handles store when the scooter is put away. You just push them in until the button clicks in place holding them tightly. The 5th photo shows the handles clipped in place with the push buttons. And the last photo shows where you loosen the handle bars to raise them an additional 7 1/2&quot; higher. They too clip in place with the push button clip. It takes less than a minute to set up and break down for storage. The paint and the L.O.L. Characters really grabs the kids' attention. The girls have been riding it through my house having a blast with it. The whole scooter is well made and will last a long time. If you have little girls that love the L.O.L. Surprise dolls they will definitely love this scooter. I would recommend it for any small child. It holds up to 110 lbs. so I just about any young child would be able to ride this scooter. The girls are going to have a ton of fun outdoors with this scooter. With any outdoor scooters or bikes, I always put a good coat of wax on them before taking them outdoors to give a little added protection for the paint and designs. I don't foresee any problems with or without waxing them.
