The proportions of the ship are a little wonky compared to the in-universe design but not to a terrible extent. My two issues with the set are the cannons on the wings are much too small, and should be about twice the length they are currently. Lastly and much more seriously, the sticker quality on this set is abysmal. The canopy stickers are difficult to place on the cockpit even for an adult, and the colour is super washed out. It&rsquo;s actually a cool and fun build. My only complaints about this set is the guns are too small (which is a personal thing for me) there&rsquo;s a lot of stickers, and the price is a little high. What I like about this set is the mini figures look good, the build was fun and engaging, and despite the lackluster guns (that I&rsquo;ll probably modify later) it looks pretty good. The print quality of the 3x3 circular tiles on each smaller wing is awful. The advertised dark red is much closer to brown. The stickers are where the set truly goes wrong. The republic logos as well as the body stickers are fine, however, the three stickers on each of the canopies are entirely the wrong color. This would be disappointing, although minor if it were advertised as such on the box/promotional images, but it is not. The stickers are supposed to be white, but they are dark gray. I'm sure kids won't mind, however it's disappointing for older fans and collectors. I own the 2010 ARC-170. I think in many ways, this model is an improvement, with sleeker lines, an improved wing mechanism, and a full complement of pilots. However, it is baffling to me how Lego can no longer print in white, when they were perfectly capable of doing so when they previously made this ship in 2010. The stickers for the canopies are abysmal. No two ways about about it. These were printed in 2010, and were matched very well with the white bricks. Lego hasn't printed like that in half a decade. But that's fine, these are stickers now, right? If only. The stickers are transparent with a white print on top of them. Once applied to the transparent canopy, these become a depressingly mismatched shade of grey. Adding insult to injury, they lie to you about it. The astute observer might have already noticed the box art and online images appear to have the pristine white canopy stickers. This is sorely mismatched with reality. You can see the reality if you move over to the image with the child holding the fighter, but you have to go there looking for it. I am very disappointed however. The sticker quality is horrible. Clear backed stickers are quite possibly the worst design choice the designers could have made. The white does not match the brick color. This discrepancy also proves false advertising as the product shown on the box does not match the actual product. It&rsquo;s a shame a Lego ARC-170 20 years ago could do this right but not in 2025. The downscale also reduces the accuracy of the model as the coloration of the wings is almost 50/50 between red and white when it should be around 75% white and 25% red. The cannons are also horrible. The bottom wing mounted cannon needs to be longer and taking out the top wing mounted cannon takes away from accuracy as-well. I&rsquo;m all for adding spring loaded shooters but not when the build is compromised. Adding the shooters to the bottom of the model like previous sets would have been way more sufficient in keeping accuracy and playability. Looking at the ARC-170 for play this a great set, but not for the price. Although less than the 2010 model when adjusted for inflation, as a consumer, what I am getting for my money is not worth the price. I will say the LEGO minifigures included are great and I want to give credit there. It&rsquo;s a shame that quality has not increased in the 26 years that Lego Star Wars has been around. The build experience is amazing, the minifigures are even better I would say. The only down side is the cockpit parts don&rsquo;t have printed elements.
