first-time Lego set. I was a bit apprehensive to begin, but I'm happy to report that it was so much fun to build and I think I have a new hyper fixation haha I cannot wait to start collecting more sets. It was a fun activity to decompress, work our brains, and bond as a family.
My kids, aged 4 and 6, were super excited to dive in and start building, and I was impressed by how easily they were able to follow along. The set comes with both physical instructions and a step-by-step guide in the Lego app, which made it easy for them to understand and stay on track. I loved that we had both options to reference and everything was clear and simple enough that we could work together, taking turns and learning from each other as we went.
The build process took us around 3.5 hours to complete, but that's because we took our time and enjoyed the journey. With young helpers, it's essential to be patient and let them take the lead, and this set was perfect for that. The instructions were clear, and the pieces were easy to identify, making it a breeze for my little ones to find and assemble the correct parts.
One of the things that impressed me the most was the attention to detail in this set. From the desserts and cups to the adorable patio area, every aspect of the cafe was carefully designed to create a charming and life like atmosphere. My kids loved adding the final touches, like the flowers and the ice cream machine, and they couldn't wait to start playing with their new creation.
Overall, I highly recommend the Lego Friends Heartlake City Cafe set to anyone looking for a fun and engaging build experience for their kids. It's an excellent introduction to Lego builds, and it’s a fun way to encourage learning and creativity through play.
I also appreciated that the set came with a few extra pieces of smaller items that may become lost easier while playing.
My only recommendation would be to add a drawer, or little hooks to store the extra pieces when not in use (broom, helmet, hair, phone, etc)
Overall this was a super fun set that will continue to provide hours of entertainment for young ones and makes a fun display for adults. 10/10</span>

The cafe is the right size not big and not small. One can play with it easily. It comes with 3 LEGO friends mini dolls, and dog figure. It comes with a step by step guide booklet in how to put it together. Having pictures makes it easier to put together. The pieces come in 3 bags labeled bag 1, 2 and 3. My daughter enjoyed putting it together. It is a good one to use their imagination. It say 6+ but I think more of 7+ for there a small pieces to put together.</span>
