If you follow the instructions this is a simple to build kit that is solidly build. I enjoyed building this as it didn't take long and the end result is unmistakably the New York skyline. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because it is a bit pricey and the design is a bit dull when compared to some of the other architecture sets (especially the brilliant San Francisco one).</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2025-01-26</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2025-01-26" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1175709784"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Dragson-64</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Vraiment bien</span> <span itemprop="description">J'ai pris plaisir &agrave; faire cette construction et c'est vraiment sympa pour d&eacute;corer la maison.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2024-11-26</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2024-11-26" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1173339850"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">3</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">emerson</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">lego new york</span> <span itemprop="description">boite tr&egrave;s petite , pour un cadeau ,ne sais pas si &ccedil;a va convenir</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2024-10-26</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2024-10-26" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1164889780"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">#thebuilder</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">New York building</span> <span itemprop="description">It was enjoyable and it also is very addictive it was really fun and my favourite building was the one world trade centre</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2024-06-15</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2024-06-15" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1164511894"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">MessyPasta085</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Both good and bad</span> <span itemprop="description">The set itself looks great when built however building is where the issue lays, the bags aren&rsquo;t numbered which makes the building process awful, you basically have to empty all bags out across a big surface to actually build this. However, building Lego with small children, though rewarding in its own way, is not relaxing. That is why I decided to try this set out myself, without the kid's help. Overall, I enjoyed this set, but I do have several issues and items I can share for those contemplating trying out the Architecture line. This set was very repetitive, which, on first glance, sounds like a negative. However, I found the sorting and repetitive use of similar elements to be soothing. The limited number of colors used in this set helped to make the sorting process much simpler, but did make it a little harder to find pieces a little harder during the build. The Instruction booklet is very nicely laid out. I enjoy reading about the places which the build represents. I would have preferred if the beginning section were spread out throughout the book, with facts about each building coming right before you built that building. The instructions begin with the all black base the set rests on. This consists mostly of plates with some tiles. However, there was an interesting section with some bars towards the end of the base build that inspired me to wonder where this would be leading. Next, you build the Statue of liberty. the statue itself is represented by a sand green microfigure, which is fun, but it is small and the base is not that interestsing. After that comes the Empire State building. This structure is covered with 1x2 tan grills. It does use some interesting techniques, but it was the most repetitive part of the build. The Chrysler Building was mostly just stacked plates and jumpers, but did have a interesting top section. My biggest complaint with this building was the difficulty of disassembly. All of those stacked plates are a pain to seperate. I was underwhelmed with the Flat Iron Building. It was essentially just stacked wedge plates, but it was small and easy to complete. One World Trade Center was the most interesting part of the build. It utilized some innovative techniques to accomplish the offset structure of the various levels. Overall, I enjoyed building this set alone. It really has no &quot;play value&quot; as it is just a display piece. I enjoyed this build enough that I did later purchase the larger Statue of Liberty sets to go with it.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2024-05-30</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2024-05-30" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1162703916"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">ShriveledWakz042</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Incredible Set!</span> <span itemprop="description">I used to be all about minifigures when it came to LEGO until I got the Statue of Liberty architecture set. Now I love the architecture series, and this set is a great addition! Totally worth the hour it took to build. There was one mistake I found but others have addressed it so I won't go into detail. I think it would be epic to see a full-scale World Trade Center set.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2024-05-21</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2024-05-21" /> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection')) { document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection').style.display = 'none'; } </script> <!--end-reviews--> <!--begin-pagination--> <ul id="bvseo-paginationSection"> <li class="bvseo-paginationItem"><a class="bvseo-paginationLink" href="https://www.toysrus.ca/en/LEGO-Architecture-New-York-City-21028--598-pieces-/0DBF4F1A.html?bvstate=pg:2/ct:r">LEGO Architecture New York City 21028 (598 pieces) Reviews - page 2</a></li> </ul> <!--end-pagination--> <ul id="BVSEO_meta" style="display:none!important"> <li data-bvseo="bvDateModified">y_2025, m_2, d_11, h_8</li> <li data-bvseo="ps">bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.42</li> <li data-bvseo="cp">cp_1, bvpage1</li> <li data-bvseo="co">co_hasreviews, tv_9, tr_146</li> <li data-bvseo="cf">loc_en_CA, sid_0DBF4F1A, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]</li> <li data-bvseo="diagnostics">clientName_toysrus-ca</li> </ul> <!--end-bvseo-reviews--> <ul id="BVSEOSDK_meta" style="display: none !important;"> <li data-bvseo="sdk">bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0</li> <li data-bvseo="sp_mt">CLOUD, getReviews, 6ms</li> <li data-bvseo="ct_st">reviews, product</li> </ul>
