The tail action feels odd, but so far it has held up really nicely. One of my son&rsquo;s favorite dinosaurs and the figure does not disappoint. My child loves it. It is nice to have a cool looking herbivore to go with all of our carnivore toys - this makes it easier to educate my child about predator/prey behavior, and how some dinos had natural self defense. Two things I would change: the tail swipe mechanism for the toy feels underwhelming - it couldn't knock over another toy, so it doesn't give the impression that ankylosaur was very powerful at all. I have seen other children's figures that have much better swiping action. The other thing that I really don't like is the card that comes with the figure. It gives a bar graph that indicates the creature's power levels. I find the chart completely inaccurate and misleading. Why is the ankylosaur's strength level comparable to that of the velociraptor? Also, there is no indication of the armour level. The &quot;dino rivals&quot; theme seems to suggest that the dinos from this line can be compared and the winner of their clashes determined by looking at the stats on the card - ankylosaur's main feature, aside from it's tail club, was it's armour. The movie even uses the term &quot;armoured tank&quot; when describing the ankylosaur. Surely, armour should be taken into consideration when ranking the various features of different dinosaurs. What sets this one apart is the &quot;hidden&quot; (as he calls it) button that makes the dinosaur make growling sounds and swing its tail. It's a really cool toy - the spikes look fierce but won't poke out my son's eye when he inevitably plays a little too hard. The head and legs move smoothly and realistically, and my son has had many authentic dinosaur battles. He's a little ticked off that this is his only dinosaur that's &quot;real&quot; and can growl. I'm sure we'll be adding more to his collection for his upcoming birthday. The dinosaur is solid and well made and should last for many more battles to come. Even though an ankylosaurus isn't as well known as a T-Rex, it's a super fun dinosaur toy that has kept my highly active son busy for around an hour at a time. He has asked everyone who gave him a chance &ldquo; do you know what a ankle-sore (Ankylosaurus) sounds like?&rdquo; Then he would press the button right away. He loves Dino&rsquo;s and knows all about the basic T Rex, the Triceratops and the Raptor, I feel like this is not only fun for my son but it has also taught him something. The Dino is not flimsy like the majority of other run of the mill Dino toys.
