It took him a bit to figure it out and it was hard for him to switch from one Dino to the other. He did enjoy playing with it as long as he wasn&rsquo;t trying to switch it around. It transform to a different Dino and kept him occupied trying to figure out how. Once it was transform it stayed that way... when he transform it back it took a bit to put it back to normal and the belly didn't close all the way, it took a bit of rearranging. She picked it up after I showed her how to do it twice. It&rsquo;s super easy and intuitive, if the bottom doesn&rsquo;t open, she moves the legs and arms further and it will. She loves that the carnivore opens its mouth to show teeth and has the big claws, she tells me that&rsquo;s how I know which one is dangerous. This kind of two in one type toy gives my daughter plenty of opportunity to use her imagination. She uses other figurines and shows the carnivore attacking vs the other being gentle. This dinosaur changes by opening up on bottom and top to fold in the different parts making it into a stegosaurus (grey) or a carnotaurus (orange). It was very easy for my 6 year old son to switch back and forth with a little extra help to get the claws to fold out under the feet for the carnotaurus transformation. It's very sturdy and doesn't seem bothered by manipulating it roughly. It's also a nice small size, fitting in my child's hand and easy to carry around on adventures outside the house.
