I personally think its more suited to 3 to 4yr olds rather than 4+ (think its put for that age as its marvel related). It didnt come with a marvel character vehicle either so this could become pricey if your child wanted to collect the vehicles for the hauler. My son is only 18 months old so younger than the recommended age, but he is car/hotwheels obsessed and he is never left playing without supervision so we are happy for him to play with it. When we received this I opened the box and my son clocked the bright red vehicle so was instantly excited. While I took it out of the packaging (with ease) I had a very impatient little man waiting. As soon as I handed it to him he said woooow! The actual toy is smaller than I thought it was going to be, and the plastic is very flimsy and cheap feeling. It&rsquo;s currently holding up well, but I don&rsquo;t know how long until it cracks or breaks, it really doesn&rsquo;t feel like great quality. Not all hotwheels cars fit, but we have got plenty and many of them fit with no issues. I looked at prices of the ones to go in it, and decided against them as it would cost a small fortune! I would have been disappointed if I&rsquo;d bought this for him as it is not worth the money in my opinion. You can buy a more robust carrier which will fit a wider selection of cars in for much less. That being said, there hasn&rsquo;t been a day when my son hasn&rsquo;t gotten it out of his toy box in the evening to play with. He has figured out how to detach the front car as well. It is smaller than I imagined it would be, and made of very flimsy plastic which feels cheap. The toy says that it does not fit all Hot Wheels vehicles, and that is very true - we had three Hot Wheels vehicles and not all of them fit. The Hot Wheels vehicles are sturdy and don't feel right inside anyway. My son likes playing with it but he does get frustrated when the vehicles don't fit properly. No more hassle with taking the toy out. Toy itself has a really bright colour and it feels like it is made out of good quality plastic. It fits several cars. It is very easy to detach the cab. I think there was a missed opportunity in creating and transforming the cab into a robot. My son was dissapointed that there is only a flip up helmet.
