My 7 year old son has been playing with it nonstop for weeks now. He loves to make the cars zoom around the circle and have the dinosaur head come down on them. He's very rough on his toys and this is still in perfect condition even after weeks of constant play so it is very well built. He loves cars and monster trucks, so we were pretty excited to give him this set. It was simple to put together, but it really isn't the best functioning playset. The center spins when you press the lever, but you have to manually hit the button on the side to have the dragon head crash down. Nothing really is playable otherwise, but may go better paired with the other sets. The spinning center is the main feature, but there is no real track to drive on. The monster truck is nice as it's similar to another product we have that is a big remote control car. I&rsquo;m surprised to have to report that the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Arena Smashers Tiger Shark Spin-Out Challenge did not impress him. The packaging makes it look so cool and exciting. Set up was very easy and it looked great but when he could get it to do little more than spin the trucks around he lost interest very quickly. The images on the box immediately attracted both my 7 year old and ten year old. They are clear and engaging. Upon opening the box, we found the product to be made of high quality and durable materials in addition to being easy to put together. It was quick to set up and did not require extreme effort to get out of the box. The set comes with a variety of decals on a sticker page to add color and definition to certain aspects of the arena. We appreciated the attention to detail on the stickers and how they both enhanced the appearance while also being rather easy to put on without frustration. We were up and playing within 10 minutes. Once we had the set assembled, my son immediately started with the crank feature, attempting to drop the Shark head onto the provided monster truck. It took about ten minutes for him to get used to the dynamics of the motion required, but he was able to knock the two side guards and finally the shark head down well enough that he was satisfied. The rumble motion was particularly engaging for him. Once he started utilizing the provided crushable car additions, he mentioned that we would like to test out his other Hot Wheels cars in the arena. Overall, this was a high octane set that he came back to play with multiple times. It does have connectors that make it appear that it could connect to the sets from this series. As a parent, I appreciate that the free pieces (monster truck and two crushable cars) can be stored with the set by setting them all in the blue band stand area when not in use. It does have limits as a stand alone set. Once he tired of cranking the Monster Truck around the middle arena and having walls fall down, he began to simply play with the Monster Truck and crushable cars sans arena.
