My son picked it out himself and it was really easy to put together. There wasn&rsquo;t to many parts like most hot wheels sets which was a big plus for me!! The instructions were really simple and easy to understand. One I got it all set him he took it outside to play with his other monster trucks. He really liked this one because it came with the fire truck!! It didn't keep his attention too long, but that is because we don't have the other pieces to the set. We are still deciding if this is a set he wants to build up, or if he likes the cars better. It wasn't too hard to assemble. We just added the stickers and clicked the pieces together. The yellow fire on the set and the ladder on the fire truck were great details. When it was time to launch, this toy did not disappoint. It reminded them of a real monster truck show trick. Make sure you pull the lever as far back as possible for maximum launching power! He loved how it made the truck launched. It only kept his attention for maybe 10 minutes. I think with the rest of the Fire Crash arena it would have kept his attention a lot longer. The pull back launcher is easy enough for them to use and the pieces fit well together. The yellow flames do have a tendency to pop off when hit but are very easily put back on. The track entrance and exit spots are numerous enough that you can connect this set to other Hot Wheels sets. The ladder on the fire engine is moveable which is a pretty cool feature. Over all this set is well made and easy to assemble.
