The solid wood pieces have a satisfying heft, and the base is impressively sturdy. I was genuinely impressed by the quality! My children and I found it to be thoughtfully designed. The colors are grouped in a way that offers additional context clues, which is especially helpful for younger kids. Both of my children were able to reassemble the puzzle without any trouble, and they&rsquo;ve enjoyed playing with it numerous times since it arrived. One suggestion for improvement would be to include a cover or a method for securing the pieces for storage. I like that it isn&rsquo;t over simplified and is a challenge for my preschooler to attempt. She&rsquo;s still at the point where she wants some help to complete, but having a puzzle that she can&rsquo;t zoom through immediately is nice. When you remove all the pieces there is an outline that shows you which piece goes where, so you don't have to put it back together blind. I do find it weird however that there is blank space around the star. It&rsquo;s very colorful and the pieces are painted on both sides. Under the pieces, there&rsquo;s an outline of where the pieces go, so it won&rsquo;t be too difficult for young ones. It&rsquo;s really cute and fun, but I get tired of these puzzles that have no real storage and could make a big mess if accidentally knocked over. There are 42 pieces of interesting shapes and colors. Our daughter worked through it in about 5 minutes but she did enjoy putting the puzzle together with her great grandmother! She liked that the star fit inside a circle and can spin. They love the bright colors and smooth surface of each piece. The puzzle is well made and has a good weight to the wood. It is a bit challenging cause they only fit one way and you have to get them just right but after a bit of practice they get it right. They have continued to come back to it multiple times a day to play. They have also used the pieces to create their own puzzles and create things off of the puzzle board. It is a great toy for puzzle loving kids. My son loved the space theme and the colors of the puzzle. I appreciate that it is made of wood and seems very sturdy and should last a long time. I can say it&rsquo;s a little tricky compared to other puzzles my son has done because they slide around until you have all the pieces in. It has the pattern printed on the board so he knows where to put them, which is helpful.
