This is an excellent, fun way for young children to learn the true meaning of Christmas. Like all Little People sets it is sturdy and just right for little hands. I have three of these on backorder now and hope they aren't being discontinued. I've bought several versions over the years but this is my favorite (except for the missing essential shepherd). Please add the shepherd figure even if you omit one of the two sheep. (Fortunately I was able to order it separately on the website but it was hard to locate.). It's hard to find Christ-centered Christmas toys, so thank you FP for offering these! They are sturdy and fun. Two things that would be improvements: A SHEPHERD is really needed as part of these sets, as shepherds are a very important part of the historical Christmas story. Also, if the people had slightly more tan complexions instead of so white it would be more accurate, and children of all races could identify with tan. (I'm a blue eyed blonde, btw.) These are still fabulous sets that children love so I'm not deducting a star. The kids have their own nativity set and we get to tell the Christmas story &quot;hands-on&quot;. The kids get to part of the wonder of setting up the nativity set without fear of breaking anything and then can play and use their imagination to retell the story in their own way. However, I am grieved and disappointed by the inaccurate skin color of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. They are from the Middle East and almost certainly weren&rsquo;t Scandinavian white. Little People, please address this.
