I do not see the logic is producing a styling head which not so much hair to actually style on top?! People visiting who have seen this dolls head around our home have actually questioned what has happened to it!! However, within 15 minutes of adding some of the clips, the lovely glossy smooth hair had become knotted &amp; tangled. I had to spend another 15 minutes brushing out the knots - lots came out &amp; hair now looks a bit frizzy. Can only imagine what it's going to look like after a whole day of being in the salon! But I'm glad I went ahead and bought this product. When it arrived, I could see what a previous reviewer meant by seeing the scalp through the hair, but the hair just needed adjusting to cover the scalp. As I have twins, I bought this blonde one and a brunette one and my children love them. I do think the hair sits better on the brunette one than the blonde one for some reason (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but my 4 year old girls haven't noticed, what with all the clips they've shoved on them! Base is nice and sturdy. Doll is a good size, not too big and not too small. The bag is handy for all the accessories it comes with. This toy does exactly what it's intended to do. I researched a lot of these to find something suitable for the age of my children.
