She floats perfectly inside the boat and I can easily get her in and out of it without any issues. There is a strap underneath that I adjust for her so she doesn't sit too low in the water. The shade is also a much needed feature that I love because it protects her from the sun when we are having a swimming day. If I do not want to use the shade I can easily fold it down. I had a new god daughter who we took to the beach with us recently and I brought this baby boat along for her to use and it was perfect in every way. I loved the little sun shade it helped me make sure that she didn't get sunburned or get too hot. The three toys helped keep her occupied and happy while the float itself helped make it possible for her to be right in the water along with us and all of the fun we were having. I couldn't have been happier with the way it worked for us. It was very easy to blow up and stays inflated all day long. We didn't get to use it long because it came at the end of the season but its made from good quality material. I used to carry my daughter around the pool in my arms. It can be tiring and it's hard to enjoy the water with the rest of the family. My 6 month old fits in it perfectly. I love the adjustable canopy which protects her from the sun and there are small toys to keep her interested.
