The toy needs batteries for lights and sound but they were included which was a bummer as toys now come with trial batteries. Our kid loved the tiny cats and played with the toy for a few days but doesn't care much about it any more. The kid loved the rotating up and down escalator feature. The green slide on the toy doesn't attach very strongly and keeps coming off. Overall, it's a decent toy but didn't amuse the kid for a longer duration. My kids love Superkitties and there are hardly any toys out there that are superkitty themed! It didn't have too much assembly which was nice. It seems durable. My one bummer about it is that it doesn't come with all the SuperKitties so my kids were missing them.
