It is pretty basic, the numbers just beep, all the same tone, when pressed and the center heart button plays a rotation of a few different recordings. It is very light and the cord is wound pretty tight so there isn’t much length to pick up the phone before the base comes along as well. All sound is from the bottom of the base which is not an issue but worth noting that the phone piece doesn’t have any speaker.</span>
