They spent a long time planning what they would draw and then enjoyed decorating it. Of course it was beautiful and one got to wear it. The other was disappointed until he learned that we could wipe it off and draw a new design for his turn. I love that the helmet itself is very structurally sound. I feel confident that should my child fall, this helmet will protect their little noggin very well. My child typically gives me a hard time about wearing a helmet but in this case, loves the fact that it's a chalk helmet and can be decorated over and over. You can draw and create to make it your own unique design. Then you can erase and draw something new. The helmet will protect your child from head injuries while they are Roller Skating, Skate Boarding, Hover Boarding, or Riding Bike. The best part is , I don't have to remind my child to wear his Helmet, he reminds me. He loves to wear his coolhelmet and I feel great knowing my child is protected. He loves to decorate it with chalk before using it for the day! It's a great motivation for him to wear it because with the chalk it's all his designs. The chalk was included. The protection it provides makes this mama very happy. It features an ABS outer shell, multi-vented, and aerodynamic styling. The chin strap is made from nylon and super easy to adjust. He gets to customize what he wears to suit his personality. As a parent, I like how sturdy the helmet feels. It really puts me at ease to know his head is protected by this very strong plastic. However, I wasn't as happy with the length of the straps. My son is six and a half years old and we had to cinch the straps way up to get a good fit. I would say it's more sized for 8 years and up. The drawings are in chalk, which is really cool for easy washability. However, they colors are not quite a vibrant or easily detailed as some of our other artwork. Even when we cleaned it off and started with a new one I still like how the colors and designs pop. The helmet was a upgrade from a little kid helmet. Adjust really well and definitely the next stage for my kiddo.
