I have 4 and 6 year old girls and they love this metal detector mining truck. This is such a great exploratory STEM type toy for girls and boys to play with. This mining truck is meant for small sized rocks and particles to tumble. I love that the truck has a designated spot for all its accessories to keep everything organized. The holder for the shovels could be a little more extended inward for a more secure fit. The tumbler rolls easily as well; left to tumble and right to release the items out to the back ramp. I like that the metal detector wand can be used attached to the truck or removed for handheld exploring. This metal detector wand requires one 9V battery that is not included. My experience using the metal detector wand is that it does actually work and detects metals, however, there's a 1-2 second delay going from metal to nonmetal as it will still beep when moved away from metals. The truck rolls easily and smoothly. However, with the metal detector wand attached the weight is more front loaded, so I would have preferred if the bottom of the truck had a bit more weight to it to keep it more balanced. Overall, a fun exploratory toy for free and imaginative play.</span>

Also could just use indoors because there are so many flips and openings to entertain a toddler. He’s in a truck phase so he loves this!
