Not like the Barbies they used to make. The sides were cracked on one of the dolls. They still look pretty and my daughter love them. Everytime she takes a bath she takes it with her into the tub. The tail is very colorful and my daughter loves playing with her hair. The quality is good as it has so far survived both of my children playing with it and they are not gentle. This doll is so fun with her brightly colored hair and features and my eldest daughter instantly asked if she could take her in the tub with her when she took her next bath. At first I was hesitant, but then I reasoned she is a mermaid after all... and I am so glad I did! My girls just love playing with her in the water! The only thing I regret is that I don't have two of them and there are sometimes fights over who gets to play with her! She loves watching the Barbie Mermaid show and has been begging for a Barbie mermaid doll. This doll seems to be very well constructed, and was surprisingly even easy for her to open and begin playing all by herself! She has spent a lot of time pretending to make her doll swim around the house.
