She loves art. She tried following the pattern provided but quickly decided she wanted to make her own design. I loved that! I think the design cards are good for kids that like a guide but kids can easily enjoy making their own aquabeads art. My daughter is 9 and she could manipulate the small. Eads but younger children may find it frustrating to position them. Its a nice art kit that comes with a water spray bottle that, with some squirts, will make the beads stick in position.
