The magnification is below 15X. The specs say 50X, but the reality is that it's below 5X. With 20x binoculars, you can make out craters on the moon, with this junk, when you don't use the tripod and point it at the moon while holding it, you can make out a circle with some shades. This thing has absolutely zero use: the naked human eye can see more. This thing is worse than garbage - it's garbage that insults your intelligence. &quot;Telescope that doesn't point up&quot; is a Terrible Terrible Terrible piece of useless crap.
