Build quality looks good. Some reviewers have complained about the hose fitting. We hooked this up and use it for the little kids in our inground pool! The other post are wrong!! THIS SLIDE REQUIRES A CUT GARDEN HOSE! We even attached the other side of the hose to a small pump and put it in the pool to recycle the pool water! A standard hose wont fit.There's no threads to screw your hose to even if you had a smaller hose. The sprinkler is the only reason I chose this slide. My hose is the standard 5/8&quot; hose, so it wouldn't work. I was going to just buy a new hose from the store for it, but it was $42.00 at [...] for the 3/4&quot; hose and it was construction grade. Don't know if all 3/4&quot; hoses are construction grade or not, but it's not the basic hose that you probably have. I took it back to the store. Also the nozzle on the actual slide looks weird and doesn't appear that you could actually connect a hose to it, there's no threading or anything to twist it on, I would think it would leak. I only spent [$] on the slide b/c it was a water slide, I wouldn't spend that much money on a basic slide, which is what this turned into with the water sprinkler not working. She loves it, doesn't have any problem (so far) getting up the steps. The only thing I noticed is the slide itself seemed to hurt her butt a little bit towards the bottom with the hump, but nothing major.
