<span itemprop="description">Purchased for a three year old. Very disappointed to see that the entire thing(except a couple screws) is made of plastic. This definitely isn't going to last long enough to be passed down through many other kids. All the axles and mechanisms are a softish plastic that give considerably under the weight of anyone over about 5.
In addition, the "lean to turn" is more of a "lean to veer slightly". It's not intuitive for young kids, even with repeated instructions. They do have to physically lift and turn the scooter to make any sort of real change in direction.
I really wish I had purchased a metal one. Even on sale, this is a regrettable purchase.</span>
