The wings flap and flutter to let you know when she wants to "fly". She makes noises. The leash was easy to snap together and attach to the toy. It may be harder for younger kids unhook the leash.
I think this is more targeted to ages 4-6. My child is 9 and wished that the Alicorn could move her legs and mouth.</span>
