The mystery of possibly finding real gold dipped treasure is even exciting for the parent, as well as the child. This was so much fun! The packaging is exciting and colorful and upon opening, you don't exactly what you are going to find until you mine through the substance to find all of your pieces, and you will definitely have one of 3 character pairs. Minecraft Nether Portal has endless possibilities with unlimited fun. Neither of us knew what to expect before opening. We started by opening the packaging and pulling out the box and instructions. We both had a little trouble following the instructions, but they were sufficient. I pulled open the foil seal finding toys incased in purple slime. My son had so much fun cutting the slime with the Minecraft sword provided. He continued to cut out all the pieces. I recommend having a paper plate for the slime and another for the toys after they are pulled out. Once everything was cut out, he opened the treasure box to find a cut axe. We then put together the toys into the figurines, using the heart sealants. We had so much fun discovering the toys and playing with the slime. When this toy arrived he was pretty excited to put it all together. He wanted to skip reading the instructions but I convinced him to be patient as I had seen a craft toy review on YouTube but that one had sand in it. I had so much fun watching him carve all the pieces out of the gel like substance that I wanted to dig in! After he cleaned up the pieces the Netherworld portal acts like a box to keep your toys together. He has a 9 year old brother who also loves Minecraft but chose not to take part in the crafting, but he is now actively playing with the toys in a pretend village in his room. This toy is great because it&rsquo;s like an adventure for the kids, they have to mine pieces of characters and a treasure chest from a pool of solid purple jelly, then they need to put water on a little potion bottle and there are some harts that they need to use at the time they are assembling the characters. And after they are done with the mining and assembling they have a nether portal to play with the figurines. My kids enjoyed playing with this so much.
