It's basically a big hunk of plastic. He had fun with it for about 5minutes, but after flinging out the saber part a couple of times, he was basically over it. In order for it to do anything you need to buy additional parts. It doesn't make sounds, it doesn't light up, and it's just a plastic tube to swing around. It might be good for a Halloween costume if you don't want to carry something heavy with you, but for playing it's pretty boring and useless.
