We just didn't see the value in this kit compared to the others (also purchased Vet Science and Beeology which was definitely the coolest). Bought for 9 year old but I think the age range on this would be better suited for 4 to 6. One activity is just gluing tissue paper to a cutout, another is just snapping two pieces of plastic together, another is just sticking a tongue blowout through a cardboard hole. The butterfly spinner is exciting for about 2 minutes then it stopped working, instead of fluttering then it just started to spin in a circle.
