They have gotten many hours of play out of it since we received it last week. The features they loved best are the noise button (what kid wouldn't?!), and the dual vehicle launchers. The vehicle launcher uses a small slider to operate and the kids love to see how the vehicles come out with just that small action. A couple of things that might be less appealing to some is it's size, it's a large toy so if space is an issue it might not be for you. And secondly, it only comes with Ryder and his atv, so your kids will likely want the pups to get the most out of the toy. Fortunately we already had Chase and Marshall so our kids were ready to jump right in to their first &quot;rescue&quot;! This vehicle can hold at least 6 vehicles, which includes them on top or inside. You press a button on the side and the flaps open showing the inside of the vehicle. There is a lever on the side to launch two vehicles. We found that Ryder and chases vehicles launched the best! We were impressed with the size and the functions of the patroller. We did have a few things that we werent happy about though. My sons first words once we opened all the packaging was where are the pups??. I understand they are sold separately but the patroller seems so empty with just Ryder and his bike. One side of the patroller is decked out in stickers while the other side is plain. It would be nice to see them the same on both sides. The battery cover is EXTREMELY hard to get off, and now the red plastic is slightly damaged from trying to open it. Its not as simple as just unscrewing it like the manual says. Also - in our packaging there was no batteries included ( even though it says they are ). Now to the good part of the review. The sides fly open with a push of a button which is fun! It plays music and patroller noises from the button on top, and the vehicles FLY out of the patroller on the ramp up to two vehicles at a time!! Only real complaint is its huge bulky heavy for her little arms and little hands to carry the toy. / as we know toddlers don't ever follow directions and they will carry the truck. Kinda big. And when she's playing I kept saying move your feet so the black side doors open up properly. It's huge. It's unisex. It's cool. Unique. Easy to put together. Sings but also quiet. Not too loud. The buttons on the toy should be a little easier for my preschooler to understand so he couldve been able to figure out the system of play on his own because he is quite the independent one and really enjoys to figure it all out on his own before I show him how it works. The stickers shouldve been added on the toy before packaging, in my opinion. We dont live in the 90s anymore and I feel 99% of toys this large have been fully assembled in factory by now. It is a wonderful toy for paw patrol fans! But only comes with Ryder and both my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old boy were both disappointed when it didnt come with one of the dog characters. But great way for the company to make more money to make us purchase the dogs separately!
