I'll be honest it did arrive with a scratch on the plastic side part, but i don't think granddaughter will notice. I had no issues assembling, i found a recent video showing assembly which helps, i found the plastic nice and strong, and the ladders don't pop out or anything. The mattresses are thick, and the bedding is cute. Its a nice size and looks lovely next to granddaughter's bed, with it being high up she's close to her dolls. I was not expecting something so sturdy. This is a nice thick plastic bed that you snap together and believe me it takes a nice hard hit to snap the piece in place and that piece is not going anywhere once you do. The bunk bed is a nice light purple. It comes with two thick pads to act as a mattress as well as two reversible blankets and two pillows. It's the perfect size for my daughters our generation dolls. They haven't been to sleep in a more stylish bed. My daughter loves it and as a side note, my cat does too as he has been known to sneak a nap or two in the bed while she is playing with her dolls. It is sturdy enough to hold him and he weighs 14 pounds. The instructions tell you to forcefully push the pieces together which is what I did but with some parts no matter how hard I pushed they would not click into place or they would not stay put. Other than that my daughter loves playing with this with both of her my generation dolls and her stuffed animals. The dolls fit perfectly on the bed. She loves to pretend they climb up the ladder, so we are really glad it was made this way. The blankets and pillows fit well on the bunk bed, and do a great job at covering the doll up during nap times.
