The not so great part of the game is it is only 4 player so only part of my kids can at at a time and that the buildings don't snap onto the board it measly just sits there and they fall over if your board gets bumped or shaken, the little slots that are for the buildings seem like they should hold the buildings better than they do. I will admit that it was a bit confusing for me at first, as there are so many different rules and moves to make with each turn. The game is aimed towards individuals over the age of 8, but even as a grown adult it took me multiple reads through the instructions to get a general idea of the game. The basic premise is that as you move around the game board you retrieve resources (dump truck, crane, excavator and boat) and once you have the correct amount of resources needed, as indicated on your player card, you are then able to build a floor of your building. Once you build up 4 floors, the last step is building the penthouse, which then ends the game, and requires the players to add up their points earned. The player with the most points is the winner. There are many opportunities throughout the game to earn additional resources. We seemed to earn the most from buying properties and collecting resources when a dice roll equaled a number on our card or a 6, which allows all players to retrieve 2 building resources that match the color on their token card. You can also earn by landing on a resource space on the game board, or by pulling a chance card. Even though this is a very different game, there are still many of the same traditional elements of Monopoly including quirky game pieces, buying properties and acquiring rent, being sent to jail, obtaining $ when passing Go and pulling chance cards. I played with my son and it took us both a few rounds to really get a feel of the game and get the rules to stick in our head. With each game we played we enjoyed it more and more, so I definitely recommend not giving up after 1 game if you're feeling confused. The game and it's pieces are really well made, although our token cards were cut off at the top, which is shown in one of my photos. I liked that they include a holder for the money and the resources pieces as well. This is your basic Monopoly in which you travel around the board making buying properties but with some added twists. In this version you are also collecting resources that you use to build towers. The game ends when someone builds the penthouse on top of their 4 story tower. Then everyone adds up their points for their towers and properties and the person with the most points wins the game. It&rsquo;s only a four person game which was our only issue since we are a family of 6. This version is a fun version but can be very confusing to start of with. First, it is time consuming to set everything up, then to understand the instructions. I was also disappointed that it is only for four players. Sometimes we have a fifth player and with this game, we will not have that opportunity. The colors of the board and game are very vibrant and makes it easy to see. I was disappointed that the board was a little smaller than the normal monopoly game. I did like the tokens that were used, and the cards made it easy to know what each person would collect. I can definitely see why this is aged to those 8 and up as you have to keep track of a lot of elements as you are playing.
